Happy New Year! "Busy New Year's Eve" uses children's personal experiences, coupled with sometimes rhyming text, to narrate New Year customs in a lifelike and emotional way. Every picture of preparing the reunion dinner is like a scene of the Chinese New Year in your family and mine. Through the details of a family with three generations living together, we can regain the familiar memories of New Year's Eve.

In order to celebrate the Chinese New Year, people cook New Year’s Eve dinner, worship their ancestors, get rid of the old and buy new year’s goods...all for the highlight of the evening: reuniting around the fire with important family members. Although the children are busy every moment and are enthusiastic about helping, they end up making more trouble. However, their participation in the process has left a deep impression on the children about traditional New Year celebrations and customs, which are fresh, fun and special. The contrast between the two makes a family feel filled with warmth and happiness during the New Year.
