About the Author

Sun Xinyu

Winner of the Bologna Ragazzi Award/vincitori in Italy, Golden Tripod Award-winning picture book author, and winner of the "Hsin-Yi Children's Literature Award for Picture Book Creation" for two consecutive years.

Born in Taipei, she graduated from the Department of Fine Arts at National Taiwan Normal University. During her student years, she won numerous awards in various painting competitions. She has designed stamps, explored the source of the Yangtze River, lived in the US and Canada, Shanghai, and traveled extensively in Europe and Asia. She has worked in various visual design fields for many years, winning the Hsin-Yi Children's Literature Award for two consecutive years and the 35th Golden Tripod Award. In 2015, she became the first Taiwanese picture book author to receive a special award at the Bologna Children's Book Fair. She focuses on illustration design and picture book creation. Her wordless picture book, *The Back View*, won the "Good Books for Everyone" award.
