About the Author

Shinobu Saito / Writer and Illustrator

Born in Osaka, graduated from the Western Painting Department of Saga Art College. She worked as a textile designer before studying at the International Academy’s picture book classroom. She is currently creating picture books and participating in activities to promote handmade picture books. His works include "Super Delicious Japanese Fifty Sounds" and "What is the Sound of Delicious Food?" 》《Is it cooked? 》《Takoyaki Kindergarten》 and many other food-related picture books.

Shinobu Saito said in an interview that it took a total of 15 years from conception to completion of this book, including one year spent on the draft! She personally visited various stores to collect materials. In her mind, the most difficult thing to draw was the pharmacy. It took a lot of stamina to draw the small boxes one by one.

Graduated from the Japanese Department of National Taiwan University. Deeply fascinated by the infinite charm of children's literature, he has worked as a bookstore clerk and children's book editor.
