Historians in real life write about wherever they are. They like to understand the times from details and observe history from life. He double majored in history and philosophy in college, and double majored in archaeology and history in graduate school at National Taiwan University. He later obtained a Ph.D. in East Asian Studies from McGill University in Canada. He was the editor-in-chief of the website "Stories: History for Everyone" and the curator of the Chinese Reading Festival. He is currently a jointly appointed assistant professor at the Department of Chinese Literature and the Institute of History at National Central University.
