Two roads diverged in a wood.
I chose the one less traveled by...
The Road Not Taken is a poem by the 20th century American poet Robert Frost (1874-1963), accompanied by Taiwanese artist Huang Xiaoyan's poetic illustrations have become a poem picture book with profound meaning.
Robert was determined to be a poet when he was 20 years old, but he didn't get the support of his family and friends, so he worked on the farm and wrote poetry at the same time. Nine years later, he became an English teacher due to the reality. At the age of 38, Robert had two choices: one was to stay in the United States and continue to be a teacher steadily, the other was to give up his teaching position and go to England with his wife to continue writing poetry.
Robert chose the second path and wrote "The Road Not Taken" three years later, becoming one of the most important contemporary American poets.
As his poem says: "Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the one less traveled by."
The classic poems that shake the heart have become this beautiful poem picture book. I hope it can bring new ideas and feelings to you and me who are standing at a crossroads and facing important choices.
