    About the Author

    Jane Nelsen Ed. D.

Doctor of Educational Psychology, outstanding psychologist and educator, licensed marriage and family counselor in California, marriage, family and child counselor in Utah, founder of the American "Positive Parenting Association", has repeatedly introduced how to effectively carry out positive parenting on the show of film and television celebrity Oprah.

When she was young, she got married before she was 20 years old and gave birth to a total of 7 children. In order to raise my children, it took me 11 years to complete my undergraduate studies. She has been struggling to find the most appropriate parenting method. She has been a strict tiger mom and a meticulous helicopter parent, but nothing worked. Later, her children even started taking drugs and growing marijuana in the backyard.

One day, a professor at school recommended that she use Adler's positive parenting method. After continuous trials and applications, she found that this method is most suitable for use in families and schools. After obtaining her doctorate in education, she reorganized Adler's theory and took the lead in developing "positive parenting" into a practical course. The academic community therefore praises her as the first person to "promote the master's theory."

Today, the positive parenting courses she developed are widely popular around the world, and she has published 18 related books, including the most important and classic "Gentle and Firm Positive Parenting", as well as "Learning Positive Parenting from Adler", "Learning Positive Parenting from Adler - Teenagers", "Positive Discipline AZ" (simplified translation), and "Positive Discipline for Children Aged 0-3" (simplified translation). The children who used to take drugs and grow marijuana at home have long since become outstanding business talents.
