In 1961, he promoted national parks and nature conservation.
The National Parks Act was enacted in 1972.
Since 1984, nine national parks have been established:
Kenting, Yushan, Yangmingshan, Taroko,
Shei-Pa, Kinmen, Dongsha Atoll,
Taijiang and the Four Southern Islands of Penghu
This book plus Shoushan National Nature Park,
A total of ten national parks are presented.
