Born in Iwate Prefecture and living in Tokyo, he is a famous Japanese writer of children's literature. He has created a large number of picture books and fairy tales, which are deeply loved by readers. In 1992, he won the Hirosuke Fairy Tale Award for "Falling Leaves, Falling Leaves, Flying Fast".
Yumi Shimokawahara/Illustrator
Born in Tokyo, living in Chiba Prefecture, Japanese illustrator and picture book writer. In 2001, he started the illustration correspondence course of Kodansha Famous School (KFS). After the course, he studied animal miniature painting in the KFS direct-operated classroom. In 2013, he won the championship of the "7th KFS Picture Book Competition" held by the school. His first work is "Looking for Stars". Other works include "Tick-Tick, Are You Okay?", "Please Sit Down", "Hey, I'm Telling You", etc.
